Cost
Quote, financing plan, cash flow and cost tracking: what the film costs, who pays for it, and when.
Cost
The quote
From the breakdown, Soldum generates a first quote based on collective agreements and standard industry scales. It then evolves with the project:
- You adjust salaries and rates according to your own deals.
- Every confirmation — a performer, a location — moves the cost from estimated to actual.
- Every change — an extra shooting day, a different location — is reflected immediately.
The quote exports to Excel and PDF, including the CNC standard expected by French funders.
The financing plan
Financing a film means assembling a puzzle. Soldum brings it together and shows you at all times what is still missing.
Every line carries its status — considered, submitted, secured — and a cost / financed gauge shows your gap in real time. Soldum also helps you fill the puzzle:
- Regional grants, proposed from the official Aides-Territoires database, with amounts and commission dates.
- Tax credit, estimated from the eligible spend in your quote.
- SOFICA funds, broadcaster pre-sales, a distributor's minimum guarantee.
- Upcoming deadlines, so you don't miss a commission.
- Application files, pre-filled from your project data, with the checklist of required documents.
Cash flow
A balanced budget isn't enough: the money still has to arrive at the right time. Soldum projects your outflows and inflows week by week, and shows the running balance.
You spot the weeks where the balance goes red, and anticipate the need for bridge funding before it becomes a problem. Excel export for your bank.
Cost tracking
Three levels, line by line:
- Estimated — the forecast from the quote.
- Committed — what is booked or contracted.
- Actual — what has really been spent.
Overruns surface while there is still time to react, and the production report is produced as a PDF for your partners.
