Crew
Build your crew: positions to fill, candidate sourcing and contract preparation (CDDU) in line with collective-agreement minimums.
Casting isn't only about actors: you also need to bring together a director of photography, a sound engineer, a production designer, a location manager… Soldum does for your crew what it does for your cast: it helps you identify the positions, find the right profiles and prepare their contracts.
What does it do for me?
Soldum helps you build your film's crew chart. In one click, you generate the list of standard crew positions (Directing, Camera, Sound, Art, Location management departments, etc.), which you then adapt to your project. For each position to fill, you source and compare candidates, then pick the one of your choice.
The module stays consistent with the rest of the platform:
- The Director position is synced with your Casting and your Contracts.
- The cost of each hired technician automatically feeds your Quote, based on the minimums of the film industry collective agreement (CCN).
How do I use it?
You have a crew-positions dashboard:
- List the positions: start from the standard crew, add or remove positions depending on the scale of your production.
- Source candidates: for each position, add candidates, compare them and keep your favorites.
- Select and save: when you validate a candidate, they are added to your organization's contacts (technicians) and their fee consolidates your budget.
- Generate the CDDU: the fixed-term usage contract (CDDU) is then prepared in the Contracts module, with the CCN minimums applied.
What do I get?
Deliverable: A crew that is staffed, budgeted and ready to be put under contract. You have a clear view of who does what, at what rate, and what it costs your production.
💬 Ask the assistant
- "Add the standard crew positions to the project."
- "What's the union minimum for a director of photography on this type of production?"
- "On which days is my sound engineer scheduled?"
